Ways To B Better: Stonyfield is Now a B Corporation

Back in 2009, I became the first certified B Corporation public relations company in the Philadelphia area, meeting comprehensive and transparent social and environmental standards. And since that time, I’ve been fortunate to work with dozens of diverse B Corporations who prove every day what it means to walk the walk as sustainable socially-minded businesses.

So it was no surprise to me when Stonyfield received its B Corporation. In fact, I can’t believe they didn’t earn it sooner! They’ve always been big on their mission and what drives them as a company. Stonyfield started as a farm dedicated to educating people about organic dairy farming practices, and despite massive growth in access and affordability, they haven’t lost sight of that original mission.

B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.Today, there is a growing community of more than 1,600 Certified B Corps from 42 countries and over 120 industries working together toward 1 unifying goal: to redefine success in business. B Corps are better companies – better for workers, better for communities and better for the environment. And when you shop with a B Corporation, you know you are voting with your dollar for a better world.

I’m proud to partner with B Corporations like Stonyfield and Beautycounter, who work to get healthier products into the hands of everyone. Locally, I work to promote small B Corps like Vault + Vine, and stock my pantry with items from certified brands like Nutiva, Happy Family Brands, Purely Elizabeth, Pukka, Peeled Snacks, The Better Bean Company, Manitoba Harvest, and more! There are also hundreds of B Corporations for apparel, business services, and household items – you can always find just what you need and vote with your wallet!

Disclosure: This post was created in partnership with Stonyfield. Regardless, my opinions are honest. See my full disclosure here.
