Giveaway: Wave Bars for Healthy Snacking

With all the sample I brought home from Natural Products Expo East, the one thing my 4-year-old really liked was the Wave Bar. A pretty big feat, considering this is a kid who eats nothing.

Created by parents, the idea behind Wave Bars is that that if children are going to snack (and they always will!), why not give them something that not only tastes great, but gets them closer to their daily recommended fruit and vegetable serving? Their goal was to create the ultimate granola bar with an ingredient list and nutritional panel that parents are looking for, combined with a taste and consistency that kids love.

Each Wave Bar contains: ½ serving of veggies (5 different ones: carrots, pumpkin, beets, kale and broccoli) and ½ a serving of fruit per USDA. There’s no refined sugar, no high fructose corn syrup, and all non-GMO ingredients. Unfortunately the bars are not organic – yet – but the small company promises to work on that as it grows.
