Get Unjunked: UNREAL Candy Review and Giveaway

Last Halloween I let my two year old have a Kit Kat. For several weeks after he begged for more Kit Kats but I wasn’t going to allow that kind of junk food to become a regular thing. Occasional ice cream and water ice, sure. But in general, no Twix, no M&Ms, no Snickers. Because they aren’t just loaded with sugar, they’re loaded with artificial everything.

The new candy brand UNREAL™ is starting with candy, because it’s the worst offender when it comes to “junk” – corn syrup, hydrogenated fats, GMOs, artificial colors, flavors and preservatives. To “unjunk” means to replace all these ingredients with real cane sugar, real milk, more peanuts, and twice the cacao. The candies contain no artificial flavors, preservatives or hormones; no GMO’s (genetically modified organisms); no hydrogenated oils; and no corn syrup. Instead, they use real sugar, natural oils, and real milk. And soon it will be available for the same price and at the same convenience stores where your kids beg you for Milky Ways.

The company understands that its candy still isn’t “healthy” for you. It’s a special treat that you can feel better about. And it will make me way more popular come Halloween when I have something chocolate to give out!

One lucky reader will win an UNREAL sample box full of tasty treats! You will be the star of your child’s life – or eat them all yourself, I know I have! Contest closes 8/20 and a winner will be randomly selected.

Disclosure: This company gave me a sample for review. Regardless, my opinions are honest. See my full disclosure here.
