Launched in October 2011, Hipcycle is the dedicated to the growing upcycling trend in green design – taking something that would otherwise be thrown away and transforming it into something of greater use and value.
I’ve been a fan of the site since before I started working with them, obsessed with the upcycled vodka bottle glassware,ceiling tin picture frames, chopstick folding baskets, and reclaimed wood clocks. This stuff isn’t your average regretsy craft hodgepodge — (I myself may be guilty of creating some of those.) The site is a finely shop for products that are stylish and functional — and just happen to be made from “trash.”
